On July 29, 2025, nearly 100 students, faculty, and staff members from the Polytechnic College of Engineering and Technology (CTECH) took part in a field trip to Vietnam Toyo Denso Co., Ltd. – a wholly Japanese-invested enterprise specializing in the production and assembly of automotive and motorcycle components, located in Nam Sach Industrial Park, Hai Phong.
During the visit, CTECH students were introduced to the history and development of Toyo Denso Vietnam, as well as the company’s modern operational model. Representatives provided detailed insights into the automated production lines, from welding robots and laser inspection systems to packaging and quality assurance processes conducted under Japanese standards.
The highlight of the trip was the hands-on experience at the production workshop, where students directly observed the assembly of automotive components, explored electronic modules, and practiced workplace safety procedures. Guided closely by Toyo Denso engineers, the students gained exposure to a professional working environment and witnessed first-hand the precision and discipline embedded in every production stage.
Lunch at the company’s canteen, featuring a Vietnam–Japan fusion menu, added a memorable touch, offering students the chance to exchange impressions after the experience and recharge for the remainder of their practical learning journey.
