On the morning of August 9, 2025, the campus of the Polytechnic College of Engineering and Technology (CTECH) was filled with excitement as hundreds of freshmen from Cohort 16, accompanied by their parents, eagerly attended the CTECH OpenDay 2025 – the official enrollment festival.
This annual event marks the beginning of the new academic year and serves as a milestone to officially welcome the next generation of students into the CTECH community.
The opening ceremony took place in a formal yet vibrant atmosphere, starting with captivating cultural performances staged and delivered by CTECH students. Following that, the Board of Directors, along with representatives of partner enterprises, delivered welcome speeches, sharing guidance and aspirations for the 2025–2026 academic year. Their messages not only offered inspiration but also reaffirmed the commitment of both the College and its business partners to building a practice-oriented learning environment and expanding internship and career opportunities for students.
As part of the program, faculty members engaged directly with freshmen and their parents, addressing questions about the curriculum, internship-to-career pathways, and current scholarship policies. This served as a crucial orientation step, ensuring that students were well-prepared before embarking on their academic journey at CTECH.
A highlight of the event was the recognition of outstanding achievements, as awards were presented to high school students and college students who excelled in the 2024–2025 academic year—an acknowledgment of their dedication and progressive spirit. Alongside this, various interactive activities such as quiz-based minigames with prizes and the distribution of CTECH backpacks to early enrollees added a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
Concluding the event, freshmen of Cohort 16 gathered to receive their class assignments, meet their homeroom teachers, and get acquainted with new classmates. This marked an important first step toward integration, setting the stage for a dynamic and fulfilling academic journey ahead.
