CTECH Welcomes New First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam: Continuing a Legacy of Cooperation

On August 12, 2025, the leadership of the Polytechnic College of Engineering and Technology (CTECH) and Hai Phong Group held a cordial meeting with Mr. Ishii Chikahisa, former First Secretary, and Mr. Sugihara Kei, the newly appointed First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam.
For many years, Mr. Ishii Chikahisa has been regarded as a close friend of CTECH. He has visited the college on numerous occasions, actively supporting and accompanying its events, thereby fostering strong educational and training ties between CTECH and Japanese partners.

Before completing his term and returning to Japan, Mr. Ishii personally introduced and brought Mr. Sugihara Kei to visit CTECH, reflecting his trust and expectations for the continuation of this enduring collaboration.
Speaking at the meeting, CTECH representatives expressed deep appreciation for the steadfast support, connections, and valuable contributions Mr. Ishii had extended to the institution over the years. At the same time, CTECH warmly welcomed Mr. Sugihara Kei in his new role, voicing confidence that the partnership between the college and the Embassy of Japan will continue to thrive—opening the door to impactful projects and expanded learning and career opportunities for CTECH students in the future.
The meeting was not only a gesture of gratitude for Mr. Ishii Chikahisa’s invaluable contributions but also a significant milestone marking the beginning of a new phase of cooperation with Mr. Sugihara Kei—further strengthening the educational and cultural bridge between Vietnam and Japan.
